It's hard to get pumped for painting when it's dark outside, rainy, cold, blah. But, this morning was better than I'd hoped for. I've had a few other projects going on and have been avoiding this particularly large canvas that I primed and sketched out three+ weeks ago. So, basically, it's been three cows on the canvas staring at me for twenty-four days. Kinda creepy.
I went downstairs and cranked up some country music...after all, I'm painting cows in a pasture. And I may even add a pick up truck if I'm feeling even more honky.
The only let down this morning was that I ran out of my two primary palate colors and couldn't go on without them, so I had to jump in the car and run to Michael's. I was in such a hurry that I forgot my coupon. I hate that!
By the time I got home, the paint I laid down an hour earlier was totally dry so I couldn't work it anymore. Boo. But the good news is that I got farther than I thought I would, considering the weather and the fact that I could barely see without the sun in my windows. Bad light makes for bad compositions, but I think I squeaked out some decent progress nonetheless.
Anyhow, I'm doing something different today...Posting in increments of about 60 minutes each.
Artist or William Wallace impersonator???
