Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

My Right Mind Has Returned (Thank God!)

I can't bring myself to have bloody cows on my canvas.  I think my lack of sleep unleashed some dark that was hiding in my head and I got a little too adventurous for my own comfort with the red paint.

Plan on revisiting the canvas early in the week and either putting some skin on the cows, or perhaps finding a funny way to be morbid.  Not sure how that works, but I will be sure to sleep before returning to the poor cows.  I suppose there's a reason that sleep deprivation is used to make people nuts.  I can certainly commiserate.

Here's a little weekend flashback to some older work that won't be making it into a show because it's terrible...

This is the second painting I did back in 1998 or 1999 when I was trying to teach myself color and composition via books.  I started with advertisements in magazines.  They offered models for me to paint via photos in ads.  Anyhow, yo…

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
