Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

"Oystermen: Big Boys in Rubber Pants"

Last Wednesday, I dropped off my work for the Tree art show at West Annapolis Art Works, which was the last show I need to work on until the next drop off at Paul's Homewood Cafe on December 8th.  In the meantime, I am working on a super secret project.  I'm not saying for whom or for what.  It's a job I really want and I've been plotting my plan of attack for about three months now.  It will be a show of about ten pieces.  That's all I'm saying.  You can try and guess the theme and where they might go.

Anyhow, I'm finished the first piece.  It's two St. Mary's County Oysterman using tongs to harvest oysters old-school style.  I was just down there over the weekend, getting in a little fishing with the family.  My dad caught a beautiful rockfish and I baked it in a salt crust for dinner.  Man, that was delicious!

Anyhow, I'll be varnishing this piece up tonight (God willing).  Wish me luck.  Tomorrow I will embark on the largest piece yet, a 4'x6'.  That's gonna be a humdinger to sketch out. Will keep you posted and try and remember to snap a photo of the initial sketch before I start into the painting part.

Thank you for following along!
