I put Great Plains Bones on the wall as I always do with new work to see what happens to the hues in differing light. Morning light is always best. And this morning, the house in the painting looked a little anemic. It needed some color and seemed washed out compared to the rest of the composition.
I need to add here that both my little boys love the color orange and consequently suggested that I make the farmhouse orange. I settled on an orange creamsicle-esque color and went from there. I do like it better, lots better actually.
Here it is. New and improved?
