Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

"Layover"

Today I searched Morguefile.com for some inspiration before deciding on a photo of two young women at the airport, sleeping on the floor.  The blue background really caught my eye....I do love blue, and lots of it!

I have some photos to share of my progress today.  Very excited about this 10x20" piece.  The initial photo that I used for inspiration although I loved the scene, was a little cluttered for me.  I prefer less in a composition than more and I'm really trying hard to simplify my paintings...focus on one subject rather than several.

I took these photos in one hour increments:

I plan to enter this piece into the MFA Fall Member Show which begins in two weeks.  Stay tuned for more updates on my progress.

As always, I appreciate you plugging along with me in my little country studio!
