Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Wednesday, Dec. 20th One Down, Some Skin to Go!

Fantastic day today!  Lots of time, lots of sun, and lots of good music on the old radio.  The painting on the right (above) is now complete...a kinda misty, hazy seascape inspired by Sand Beach at Acadia National Park.  Both pieces are available.  Contact me directly at jenniferrynbrandt@gmail.com with details and shipping options.  I believe the one on the right is 20"x24" entitled, "Kiawah Waterway" ($750).  The piece on the right is 18x22 entitled. "Sand Beach, Acadia" ($600).  I believe both will be featured at Maryland Federation of Art, Circle Gallery, Melange I Show in late February.

Next up, switch it up!  I need to take a break from land and seascapes.  I haven't don't any figurative in a while and I miss painting skin.  Is that weird?

So, here are two photos, about an hour apart.  I realize the background looks like a flat color in the last photo, but it actually has some great blue/violet highlights and is really going to pop when I get my gals a little filled in.  I have to be honest here though, I drew the figures with charcoal and really like the look of the smudgy marks all over the sketch.  Not sure how I can keep that look, but I may try.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I have so much creative energy to get out after being homebound this past month with sick kiddos!  I can't wait to slap down all that's swishing around in my head!  Stop by tomorrow for more in process photos of this figurative piece...
