I just got notification that my piece, “Estuaries” was chosen for the most difficult show to get into in the region. I am really floored at being chosen by the juror. The congrats email went a little something like this (actually, I cut and pasted it so I could spell everything correctly…)
With 483 entries, you are one of 67 artists selected for Strokes of Genius by juror Joey Mánlapaz. Mánlapaz is highly revered painter and Associate Faculty at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University. Please read below to view important dates and information. Once again, congratulations and thank you for entering!
That said, this has been one of the best weeks I can remember in the past year. I’ve gotten other good news as well and will be sharing at a later date. All of this after a really tough creative year last year. It really was a great reminder of the fact that although nothing on the surface seems to be percolating, there are bubbles underneath, just waiting to be surfaced!
God is so good!
I can’t think of anything else to tell you, so I’m signing off (so I can take my jaw off the floor and put it back in).
Thank you so much for following along with my creative endeavors!
