Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

New Piece for Artists Guild Salon Show at Crooked Tree Arts Center and Gallery, Petosky, MI

Hello and hope your Thanksgiving was splendid!

I have a show coming up! Here are the stats:

2023 Guild Member Salon Show January 14 - March 4, 2023

CTAC-Petoskey, Gilbert & Bonfield Galleries

461 E Mitchell Street Petoskey, MI 49770

I have three pieces that are due on Jan. 3rd and none can be more than 36” in any direction. Hmmmm. This size is smaller than I generally work in but I am very excited about the challenge! And just when I was wondering where I might find inspiration for this new work, given it’s very grey, overcast, cold and damp outside here, my mom sent me this photo of the sunrise this morning over the Chesapeake Bay from their little cottage. For the record, my Auntie Candy (who lives next door with Uncle Steve) took the photos, not my mom. Although, my mom also takes great photos!

Consider yourself invited to the artist’s reception! You can learn more about my work and the other Artists Guild Members of the Crooked Tree Gallery on their site.

Our family will also be attending the Handel’s Messiah show at the Petosky Great Lakes Center for the Arts. Are you a Veteran? You get to go for free (plus one!). Bonus? Kids under 18 are also free. I couldn’t turn that down as Handel’s Messiah is my most favorite (!) Christmas tradition. It’s euphoric!

Stay tuned for more work on this unnamed piece….And thank you for stopping in!
