Good afternoon! We’ve already got about 18” of snow here and it’s not supposed to let up for another couple days. My poor fella has been outside shoveling every few hours to be sure we can get out at some point. The upside to the minus 6 (with wind chill) is that it’s too dry for the snow to weigh much. It’s very dry snow. Think of it like Arizona 105 vs Florida 105. Dry is a heck of a lot more comfortable. Thank God for a warm home and a glut of food that was supposed to feed my folks and my brother and family this weekend. They got stuck on the east coast so here we are with a 15# prime rib of beef. Good problem to have, I think. Pass the horseradish sauce!
Anyhow, I got to paint with our little guy T (10) today and got a good bit done on “Tidewater M22”.
I spent a couple hours lightening up the under-layers to that this piece feels less heavy on the wall. I still have quite a bit to go but today was good. For many reasons. Feeling blessed and ready to celebrate Christmas and the most widely celebrated birthday of all time! Peace to my fellow believers!
The only downside to the snow is that I’ll really miss Midnight Mass. There’s nothing like it, especially on a wintery night! Only, please lay off the incense a bit this year? We all smelled like a frat party after church last year!
Merry Christmas and thank you so much for stopping by!
