Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

On My Easel: Spring Thaw, Leelenau County

Hello and I wanted to first thanks Corinne in Glendale, CA for purchasing “When A Neighbor Calls For Blood”. It is always bittersweet letting go of a favorite piece, but she’s assured me that they love it and that makes me very grateful (and relieved!).

Tuesday. Cold. Wet. Windy. Geez. Winter is so long here! However, we had a warmish day last week that kicked in the spring thaw on Lake Michigan. I live only a block or two from West Bay and this painting is greatly inspired from the view driving down M 22 each morning, with the sunrise peeking through and separating the water from the wind and sky. It’s always beautiful, but this morning evermore so.

The floating icebergs the size of Delaware have all but melted and the grass is finally peeking through the densely packed snow. I know that winter is coming to a close and the season that all those in the north relish will be here very soon.

This piece is 18x24 and will be composed in a similar style to “Across West Bay” but unlike that piece, I may be willing to part with this one. Maybe. :)

Thank you for stopping by and if you are the gal in SoCal making offers on my piece “Totem” on Chairish, feel free to contact me directly and I’d be happy to accept your offer. Ugh. Wonder why art costs so much? Gallery fees. Always contact the artist directly if you want to make a reasonable offer.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to have lots more done on this piece by tomorrow afternoon!
