Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Busy Monday! Preparing two pieces for finishing touches tomorrow!

Hello and Happy Monday! Got quite a bit done today! Just need to add a little more shading to the larger piece (Frank’s Farm #9) that is headed to Towson, Maryland, this week (weather permitting) and the smaller piece (Saltwater Farm at Low Tide) is getting more love on the sky today in the form of lighter blues before I call it a day!

Like most other artists, I have two or more pieces going at once so that if I get stuck on one, I can move to the other to clear my head. After tomorrow, I will be working on a paper cut piece that I started in Maine last month. I can’t believe July is half over already. Geez.

So, here at the two pieces on my 6’ table. That’s a lot of paint!

It’s hard not to think about farms in the summertime. Friday night, my fella and I went on a date to see Luke Winslow-King play the Blues at Jacob’s Farm here in Leelanau County and I took the photo below. I hope to get a medium sized piece of it started by the end of the week, maybe a 24x24.
