Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

a fun little mixed media…

Today I tooled around with some paint, a prepped canvas, and some wallpaper remnants that I love by Cole & Son (UK). I’d ordered some sample a while back and plan to wallpaper our little powder room that has some weird characteristics that need to go but also has lovely handmade tiles that I need to keep. They are all different and I love them. The husband does not. I think I can help him like the bathroom a bit more after wallpaper. He’s not convinced. I guess we shall see.

So- I had an idea for a little mixed media. What if cacti were not filled with water but instead lived in water with the insides dry? What if the were at the bottom of the sea rather than in the desert?

This piece, I guess, is going to be the second installment in my “Rising Tides” series. I met a gal the other day who moved to No. Mi. Specifically to escape rising tides. She’s likely ten or so years older than I am (a ripe old 49!) so I respectfully I asked her if she truly thought the east and west coast would flood in her lifetime. She did. I guess that’s a good reason to move.

Here’s the start: Some cacti here taking shape…

I hope to finish this up before Wednesday when I leave for TX. Then off to Maine!

Adding in some sea life here…

Stay tuned!
