Hurrah for fall color!!!!
Today was gorgeous—But a chilly 38 degrees at 9:15 am today with a hard frost still shimmering in the grasses as I drove my little wagon to the barns at Ruby Ellen farm in Leelenau Co.
It was really too moist out for watercolor and my paper almost immediately buckled despite being firmly taped to a wooden board.
So, after about 30 minutes, I let go and let the paint go where it wanted to. That’s a very democratic style of painting, no?
