Well, my brain is fried. I just got home from Maryland to assist with care of my wonderful dad but I’m exhausted. It’s nothing like the exhaustion my poor mom is dealing with but it was a lot and when I got home I was pretty much useless for two days.
I haven’t had a good painting to work on for a month or so. My creative side simply needs solace to function and that’s been a tall order around here. But this weekend, with the help of my fella, I was able to start again on a piece that’s been on my easel for weeks. I just couldn’t figure out what it was trying to be. So, I asked my very left brained fella to take a look and he did. A minute later he said, “ It’s a leaping calf. I’m positive of that”.
So today, I took his advice and boy am I glad. It could be that I’m currently in the Agricultura show at Crooked Tree Gallery, and had my mind on cows, but it is pretty obvious that this fun, lively piece will indeed be a young bovine. I hope to have it done by Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by! Stay tuned for more updates.
