A native Marylander with a new basecamp in Traverse City, Michigan. I think I’m going to like it here.
I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

On my easel today…”Jelly No. 02: Gulf Descent” 22x28. Acrylic on Canvas. (In Process)
I just started this piece yesterday and am really happy about where it’s going. “Gulf Vegetation No. 01, 02” , also in The Gulf Series, are headed to a gallery show for Jan, Feb 2025.
Not 100% sure it’s done. Honestly, I’ve never finished a painting in two days and it feels kinda weird. I need to add some high and lowlights before it dries completely and I varnish it. With so many washes, varnish is needed due to instability of the paint when thinned that much. Varnish will protect the color and keep it from rubbing off/fading.
Inquiries can convo me via email. Price for this size is $1150 incl. shipping to cont. U.S.
Slowing things down a bit on the easel and taking a break from color and abstraction. “First Line” NFS. 30x40 Acrylic and Graphite on Canvas. This is for our son’s 16th birthday. He’s a hockey player and lives and breathes ice!

On my easel “Melancholy Circus”. 30x40. This piece is a culmination of nearly every painting I’ve done the past fifteen years. It was the canvas I used to test colors and textures, techniques and was the backboard, catching stray paint. See blog for details. This one is truly a labor of love and a living journal of my artistic development. $2400 including shipping..
