The most fun I have all day is updating my site stats and finding new corners of the earth to touch with my art. This week it's been Germany and Hungary. My site tells me what country is viewing my little posts. Despite it being very broad areas of the globe, I want to take a moment to say "hello" and "thank you" to the folks overseas who are browsing.
I realize there are millions upon millions of people making art in our world and I'm humbled that you've spent your time browsing my creations and learning my craft, my likes and dislikes as I critique my own work, as well as successes and failures I've had along the way. This year has proven to be an exciting one and I'm looking forward to sharing what I come up with as we move along in this very busy 2015.
As for shows, I am currently in two, both in Annapolis, Md. All three pieces are in my Preakness Series, and have been well received. So much so that I'm planning to branch out in my subject matter. That's all I can say for now except that I'm going shopping for a big fat canvas tomorrow and more basic supplies. Stay tuned.
Until then, consider yourself invited to our reception for the Summer show at West Annapolis Artworks the evening of June 25 for live painting by house represented artists as well as food and drink. They are an exceedingly agreeable and keenly professional group of artists and I am so blessed to be part of what they are creating there...putting smiles on faces via paint slinging.
Please join us if schedule allows. Also, please keep your fingers crossed for me as I await acceptance (or rejection) for an additional Annapolis Show at the Annapolis Maritime Museum.
Have a lovely evening!
