What began as a hideous exploding alien-headed lady--an expression of exactly what was going on in my melon several weeks ago has morphed into a lovely landscape that I'm proud to show you today. I have a deadline for an upcoming show and hope this piece will be juried in. Wish me luck.
There is more than ten layers of paint on this large piece....I believe it's 24x48" and 1.5" deep on a really nice archival quality museum wrapped canvas. This piece is $750. Inquiries may come directly to me via email: jenniferrynbrandt@gmail.com
I love it when my work finds a new home, so I do payment plans starting at $100 per month. Yes, people, layaway art! It's how I buy art and I hope more and more folks will move away from prints at Target and Home Goods and buy original work that will be a family heirloom and increase in value.
See my previous posts on my humble art collection that began fifteen years ago and now includes Erin Hanson, Robert Joyner, Sarah Sedgwick, George Coll, David Larson Evans, Cesear Citaro, Kim Santini, etc. Seriously, you should see my trophy wall. I didn't spend any more than $300 on any of my favorites, and now I couldn't afford to buy them again, even if I wanted to. I'll get off my soapbox now, but you get me, right?
School started yesterday and I'm feeling fantastic! Yeah school! I seriously haven't had any peace and quiet for weeks and idle chatter, basketballs bouncing in the house, roller-skates on the floor, meltdowns, and being forced to watch Nacho Libre five times in two months, makes for truly sucky art.
I love to finger paint!
