Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Photos for New Paintings

There is nothing like driving down a country road at sunset.  Especially in winter.  Exposed tree bones, hilly expanses, and lines of various tinted clouds had me in near collisions at least twice this evening.

I decided that instead of rushing home to get to my to-do list, I'd try and take it in a bit and pulled over instead.  Leathery farmers passed by in big Fords (and one Chevy), looking at me like I was nuts to put my hazard lights on and stand in the road to snap photos.

I've never felt more blessed to be somewhere.  I've lived a lot of places.  Virginia, Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, and now, finally, back in Maryland, the place that has kept my people for three-hundred plus years.  But this part of Maryland is different.  Rocky, hilly, cold and snowy in the winter and cooler, greener, and breezier in the warmer months.  I think that Baltimore County, particularly the northern areas, are a well-kept secret.  Elementary schools with only 50 kids per grade?  Yes, and blue ribbons to boot.  This place is agricultural yet cultured at the same time.  A nearby friend who is the head OB/GYN of a hospital also boards mutt horses and drives a pick up truck with the back window broken (but being held together with duck tape).  My kind of place.

My hazard lights allowed me to take a few photos today that I hope to paint in the next few weeks.  I plan to do big paintings, but first I need to make some room in my studio.  So, I hope to have that eBay storefront up soon to assist with the space issue soon.  In the meantime, if there are items on the blog or website that you've made a connection to, please let me know via email so we can figure your acquisition out in a mutually beneficial way.

Thank you as always!  And a warm hello to my new viewers around the world and down the street!  I appreciate you stopping by!
