Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

Notification! Woo-hoo!

Good evening (and hello to Dallas!)

I received an email notification this evening that my piece "Tag #56" was chosen for Gallery B in Bethesda.  This is the third year (in a row!) that I've been juried into the Gallery B show through MFA.  Here's a link to all the pieces that were chosen and the corresponding online catalogue, a little bit about the gallery, juror, and show!

Dates for the artist's reception and the show are also included.  It goes from (I believe) the last week in March until the last week in April.  Please come if you can!

Here's the piece she selected.  It's one of my favorites:

I have a large piece in the works and am experimenting with using interior house paint for the backdrop.  I think it may be beautiful with a watercolor effect.  We shall see.

In other news, I'll be headed back to Maine soon to meet with contractors who are working on that cottage I'm designing for a rental.  It's been a fun project!  I have a few more things to complete (furniture wise) and have an idea for a cool bunk (in a closet without a door).  Will post photos when I'm done!  In addition to my art, the cottage will feature two recently acquired paintings by Kimberly Santini, the official Kentucky Derby Artist.  She's one of my personal favorites.

A hearty belated "Peace Be With You" you all today on this day after Ash Wednesday.  I'm giving up sweets for Lent, so I may be a little grouchy in the coming weeks...so I'll just apologize ahead of time!

Thank you again for plugging along with me!
