So...my composition was just getting too busy. I needed to pair down all the traffic between hues and lines and find a place for rest-seeking eyeballs.
Here's what I've got for you. I plan to shade a bunch and crisp up some lines, but overall, this is a much more soothing painting, which is what I want.
Stay tuned for some more paint slinging, aggravation, and self-degradation of the artistic variety as I am at that proverbial fork in the road and need to decide where to go from here...To stop or not to stop...that is the question. Add that to the fact that my tired old easel is wonky and I ended up painting my clouds crooked as a result is just shy of infuriating. Well, not really infuriating but definitely in the neighborhood of severely put out (or at least a tiny bit irritated).
I want to wish my wonderful father a very Happy Birthday! Thanks for having a (GREAT!!!) crabcake at Boatyard in Annapolis with me for lunch today! I LOVE YOU!
