I’m wrapping up this piece tonight but wanted to share more since I had a big chunk of time today to get this piece near completion. I posted a photo earlier but wanted to post another so that you can see the difference that (near) contrasting colors can offer as far as brightness and highlights.
Admittedly, this piece got a little busier than I’d hope but it has such great energy—All thanks to an outing with some great folks on their ‘85 Jefferson on Thursday evening.
I love the wood on vintage boats and boy, I’ll bet she’s as clean and beautiful as when she left the dock for the first time. Thank you to M and L for the lovely evening. Likewise, thank you to the bald Eagle that flexed her prowess and scooped up a sizable lake trout right in front of us! So glad that the bald eagle is our nation’s mascot instead of Benjamin Franklin’s turkey idea. He resembled a turkey and perhaps fancied the bird as a result…
