Hello and Happy Friday! I have had an exceedingly exciting (and productive!) week. Early in the week I was given notice that I have have an entire wall to exhibit on for Melange II, a show through Maryland Federation of Art from March 17th through 28th at Circle Gallery, Historic Annapolis, 21401.
And as if I wasn’t stoked enough, yesterday, I was invited to participate in a three month long exhibit at the BWI Airport (here in Maryland) with only ten other artists in the region, also through Maryland Federation of Art. They were looking for artists that work big, and that is something I do in spades! I love creating large pieces that commandeer a room (or concourse?), so I was humbled and obliged when asked by the Board at MFA.
More details to come! But, for now (today), I am working feverishly on a ink/paint on paper piece to submit for the Hospice Cup art competition, which is the art featured in an annual regatta held in Annapolis to benefit Hospice of the Chesapeake. I submitted for this art competition several years back and lost by only two votes. Consequently, my husband and I did not make the opening, where everyone votes for one work to be featured on the marketing materials (posters) etc. That would have been two votes (if my fella voted for me, that is…).
I am beyond thrilled and hope you will stop back in for details to be posted asap.
Many thanks again for following along!
Jen :)
