Welcome!

I’ve been documenting my creative endeavors since 2014. Thoughts on the creative process, my travels, shows, new ideas and what’s on my easel are just a few things I post on. Feel free to linger…

"Sowing Season #2" An Abstract Farmscape (that actually looks like a farm) $350

Good afternoon and Happy Mama’s Day to my fellow breeders!

I had some time today to clean up (read: simplify) the farmscape that I started with our little guy “T” last evening. I think it was just too busy with the clouds in the sky and the amount of blue, so I added in some Aqua Gouache and Parchment acrylic and settled on a softer sky that is a nice break from all the linear forms. This will be for sale for $350. I’ll post it on my Works For Sale page as soon as I can. Shoot me a message if you are interested and have any questions. I believe it is 12x16 (I’ll double check tonight). I’d love to see this piece in the hands of someone who loves farms the way I do! :)

I’m also thinking that I like “Sowing Season #1” better on it’s side. What do you think? Here’s the photo I took today of it on it’s side. I really like this composition too. I supposed whomever it goes to can decide for themselves. I’ve made three or four abstracts that can be turned. It’s rather cool to have something on a wall that is more that one composition…here it is:

One more bit of News! The May solo show at Holley Gallery (also through Maryland Federation of Art) has been postponed to the beginning of January 2021. As far away as January sounds, it really isn’t. It was so dang cold today that the ground was frozen when we woke up (until about 12 noon when the sun appeared) and we had snow flurries! It May! In Maryland! The weather must be sick too.

Thank you for stopping by. Because I am just chock-full of good vibes this weekend, I also did the underpainting for a new piece! It’s a 16x24 (I believe) and I’m already liking where this one is going…..

See you tomorrow!
