“Old Glory”. About fifteen years ago, I first painted our beautiful flag and thought it was time to do another given that the Sept 11th anniversary recently took place and that Veteran’s Day is approaching in early November. I still get choked up when I see an extraordinarily large American flag waving in the wind, reminding me of all the many things our citizens still have in common. My people first came to Maryland over 300 years ago, poor folks, laborers, tradesmen, and families. I’m grateful for those brave folks that stepped away from all they knew to try and find freedoms that weren’t available to them in England.
